A high-efficiency silo filter designed to handle extremely demanding powders and heavy loads.
The speed of pneumatic transfer conveyors generally ranges between 15 and 30 m/s when running automatic fills. The solid concentrations are also kept as high as possible in order to ensure maximum efficiency. This generates a great deal of turbulence and dust when the powder mixture is released from the transfer duct into the silo under the filters. Especially during the final phase of the silo fill, filter elements are heavily loaded by the above-mentioned turbulence and turbulence in the powder mixture. Powder Technic's Hose filter is designed to function at an optimal level in precisely these applications.
Tetratex-coated hose filters are used as the filter elements
The surface of filter elements in the Powder Technic Hose filter is laminated with the unique Tetratex® ePTFE film, which is highly permeable to transfer air, but prevents even the finest powder particles from penetrating between the filter element fibres.
An effective cleaning using compressed air will keep the filter clean for a long time
Thanks to the film, powder dust particles form a dust layer on the surface of the filter, whose smooth surface can be effectively cleaned with a blast of compressed air. The dust falls from the filter into the silo.
Many times the service life of a conventional filter
The service life of Tetratex-coated hose filter elements is many times that of conventional filters. If necessary, filter elements can be easily changed from above or through an access hatch in the filter body.
Meets ATEX requirements
If necessary, we fit our silo filters with ATEX-certified break panels, thus making the filter compliant with the requirements laid out in the ATEX Dust Explosion Protection directive.
Powder Technic Cartridge filter
The Cartridge filter is a compact "powerhouse" for less demanding applications. The filter elements are made of polyester fibre filter cartridges, whose structure packs a large surface area in a small space.
