The speed of pneumatic transfer conveyors generally ranges between 15 and 30 m/s. The solid concentrations are also kept as high as possible in order to ensure maximum efficiency. This generates a great deal of turbulence and dust when the powder mixture is released from the transfer duct into the silo under the filters. Especially during the final phase of the silo fill, filter elements are heavily loaded by the above-mentioned turbulence and turbulence in the powder mixture. The silo also frequently fills on one side, thus failing to use the full filling capacity of the silo. Powder Technic's unique Cyclone filter™ is the answer to these problems.

The filter has a unique PATENTED (Pat. no. FI 89876) PRESEPARATION CYCLONE, which reduces the velocity of the air/material mixture entering the silo or tank by as much as 90%.

LONG INTERVAL BETWEEN FILTER ELEMENT CHANGES

  • The preseparation cyclone decreases the intake air speed, thus significantly reducing the dust load of filter elements and, in turn, increasing their service life.
